Too Faced Primed & Poreless Tinted Primer Review

Too Faced: Primed & Poreless SPF 20 Bronze Tint Skin Smoothing Face Primer is unique as it not only provides a smooth base and makes your skin look flawless without any additional makeup, but it also adds a subtle tan and glow to your skin perfect for the summer. Oh and did I mention that it’s great for combination/oily skin. And also, did you notice that it has an SPF 20 for sun protection!

But the main reason why I was drawn to this multi-tasking beauty is that when the sun started to appear again in late Spring I entered that awkward phase of foundations. You know what I’m talking about, the phase where your winter foundation makes you look like you’re in a Twilight movie but it’s way too soon to break out your beach bronzers! I considered buying another foundation, one that I could wear in this in-between time, but let’s face it, it just didn’t seem practical to buy a whole other foundation just for a few weeks. And that’s when I discovered a solution!

I used this Too Faced tinted primer under, and at times mixed in with my normal foundation, to slightly darken my foundation. That way, I could use the foundation I already had, while gradually adding some color to my complexion as the months started to heat up. Now that’s it’s mid-Summer already, I find myself using this tinted primer and nothing else!

The Too Faced Primed & Poreless Tinted primer is lightweight, goes on like velvet, instantly absorbs into the skin and feels clean and fresh on which is a bonus for those with combination or oily skin. It literally feels like you have nothing on but smoothes out skin, corrects unwanted skin tones like redness or blotches, covers spots, and almost erases pores! And the tint is perfect. It is a neutral tan tint and I say tan because it is not shimmery, or glimmery, nor orange like a bronzer. Even though it says bronze, it is more of a natural matte tan color without looking muddy. ¬†Finding a natural, non-shimmery, matte bronzer is near-impossible! And it is because of this primer’s natural tan color as opposed to a shimmery bronze, that makes it so versatile to mix with foundation for other seasons.

Because of its multi-tasking properties, I would highly recommend this primer. Not only is it a useful tool in your makeup collection to mix in those in-between seasons, but it’s really effective at smoothing out the complexion, color correcting, and erasing pores. The tint is ideal and will work with EVERY skin tone (don’t be scared off by the dark color when it comes out, once you smooth it on it seems to instantly adjust to your skin tone). ¬†Furthermore, especially in the hot summer months when everything applied to the face seems to feel like a mask, the consistency and feel of the product is a real dream!

Summary: This Primer is super useful as it not only corrects skin tone, erases pores, and covers imperfections but also comes in a natural non-shimmery tan color to wear alone in the hot Summer months or mixed with your foundation in between seasons. It is very rare to find a matte bronzer that isn't shimmery or makes you glisten like a beach bunny, but this primer provides a versatile tan color while feeling like weightless silk on the skin!
