Peter Thomas Roth Laser-Free Resurfacing Eye Serum Review
Women everywhere have been on a heroic quest to slay the dragon of age on their precious peepers; battling with courage every fine line and wrinkle. Not to mention fighting the persistent monster, sleep deprivation, and the dark circles it places under your eyes like smoke out of a dragons mouth and morning visits from Puff the Magic Dragon himself leaving puffy eyes in the ruins.
But alas! The war on age has turned and we have slayed the dragon, or have we?….but we have blood on our hands……Dragon’s Blood!
When I first heard about this innovative eye serum, and the secret ingredient that it contained, I couldn’t help but be intrigued and had to try it immediately. This Peter Thomas Roth Eye Serum uses a rare scarlet resin from an Amazonian tree, called Dragon’s Blood, which has highly effective anti-inflammatory and rapid repairing properties. Given the nature of this red resin, Dragon’s Blood is alleged to be excellent at reducing puffy eyes and repairing damaged skin from aging and sun-exposure.
Not only does this serum contain an unusual ingredient, but it’s also contains another naturally occurring ingredient, Niacinamide to help increase moisture retention filling out fine lines and wrinkles. Added to this concoction are two other patented ingredients; Haloxyl, to help reduce dark circles and Eye Resolution, to tighten and firm skin around the eye.
Given the fascinating prospect of putting Dragon’s Blood on my eyes, I was convinced that this magic potion would be the spell that would banish wrinkles and puffy eyes till kingdom come. But after a few weeks of use, I barely noticed a difference. And because I have highly sensitive eyes, I found this serum to slightly sting upon application. Although I did notice a slight tightening effect, I also felt one too as the serum made the skin around me eyes quite taught which I didn’t particularly like.
Perhaps I needed to try this serum out for longer than two weeks but as I’ve found with almost EVERY eye cream/serum, I notice little to no improvement in my dark circles, puffiness, or fine lines. I often wonder why this is and if eye serums in general are just a marketing ploy because nevertheless, I still keep trying and buying them hoping that one day I will be able to slay the dragon once and for all!

The Perfume Expert Rating
Summary: This Peter Thomas Roth Eye Serum really disappointed me! Made with such an innovative ingredient called Dragon's Blood I was convinced that this would be the product to slay the dragon of age around my eyes for good....but it was a failure. After weeks of use I saw no improvement in my dark circles, puffiness, or fine lines. The only thing I did notice was the stinging sensation and uncomfortable tightness it left around my eye area.
