CHANEL Superstition Collection: Fall 2013 Makeup

The new Autumn 2013 makeup collection by CHANEL is called Superstition and features soft pinks and enchanting metallics that will lure you in with their perceived innocence but leave you under their magical spell!

Being overtly superstitious herself, Coco Chanel believed in the power of “Doubles” and pairs of things, hence the famous double “C”‘s. This collection highlights the “double” superstition by featuring blushes and lipsticks in the same shade, two of every color! This was done not only because of superstition, but also to allow a perfect match between a woman’s cheek shade and lips. Having the same shades in both cheek and lip color allows the user to compliment her features perfectly!

These pretty and demure shades are subtle enough for daytime and office wear but can also be layered for a more dramatic and romantic effect. Because the shades are so perfectly neutral, this makes for THE most wearable Fall makeup collection that I’ve seen yet.
