Gucci Guilty Review
Gucci perfume have a high standard and create some of the most popular womens perfumes on the market. However, in this review of Gucci Guilty for Women I’ll explain how a bad choice of name can really throw the buyer!
With a name like Gucci Guilty, you’d expect a fragrance wrought with mystery, intrigue, and sinful sex appeal, but there isn’t an ounce of sin in this innocent scent!
Even the marketing of this fragrance features a steamy ad campaign and boasts that this Gucci Guilty perfume is for the “glamorous, daring, brave, and very sexy girls who like to party and enjoy themselves”.
If you ignore the name and the look of the packaging and simply spray the scent on your skin, you get a delicate, soft, warm, powdery, and feminine scent that is more dainty and pretty than daring and sexy.
Instead of being a fragrance for the girls who like to party, I can see this perfume worn by girls who like to stay at home with a good book under a warm cashmere throw!
Notes of delicate Spring-time Lilac are most prevalent followed strongly by juicy Peach. Other notes like bright Orange and glowing Amber make this scent more cozy and inviting.
The only daring notes, if you can even call them that, are green Patchouli and sparkling Pink-Pepper but they do nothing to create the sinful sex appeal that Guicci Guilty is supposed to illicit.

Don’t get me wrong, it isn’t a horrible scent, but it’s not far off!
It definitely isn’t as powerful or sophisticated as other Gucci Perfumes!
In my opinion, Gucci Guilty smells like a mainstream drug-store fragrance that lacks any sort of identity as a fragrance. It simply just smells like perfume which is a major disappointment. And in fact, Gucci as a whole has seemed to lack quality and sophistication from it’s cult classics like Gucci Rush, and the original sultry masterpiece of the vintage Gucci Eau de Parfum.
I can usually find something nice to say about most scents, but with this one, I struggle to see it’s whole agenda!
What I will say is that it does have quite a potent sillage and impressive longevity, but that isn’t always the best thing if you don’t like the scent to begin with!
The Perfume Expert Rating
Summary: The only thing Gucci Guilty is guilty for is being a major dud! Apart from having the wrong name, which implies a sexy, daring & mysterious scent, Gucci Guilty is dainty, pretty, and soft. Lilacs, Peach, & soft Amber. This perfume not only falls short with it's confusing and misleading marketing but is also not the quality, sophisticated Gucci perfume that we are all familiar with.
