If you are like me, at this time of the year, your skin starts crying out for moisture. It’s almost as if once the first few days of colder weather appear, so does the incessant need to apply moisturizer. It is our skin’s way of firstly, going into shock, and secondly preparing itself for Winter. So, on that note, I only feel it fitting to review a moisturizing product, as I sit here with a bottle of hand cream and lip chap at the ready! Usually neglected in our slathering on of moisture cream, our eyelids (the most delicate skin on our body) are often overlooked and this can lead to not only dry eyes in general but also winkles! The problem is that finding an eye cream that is just for moisturizing is extremely difficult as almost ALL eye creams contain some sort of anti-aging property or ingredients to de-puff, lighten dark circles or plump up fine lines. Now, these components are useful indeed but can sometimes be a harsh and although they may make our eyes look brighter and more youthful they may not place as much focus on moisture. Furthermore, most if not all specifically instruct the user to apply the cream to the “eye area” (under the eye, close to the temples, and on the brow bone) and not to the eyelids themselves.

I truly believe that at some points, when my skin was so reactive everything I put on it seemed to burn, this Kiehl’s cream was the only thing I could use around my eye area.

It soothes, it moisturizes, and protects the skin from external aggressors. Not only does it protect against pollutants, but also provides a barrier to harsh conditions like cold weather and strong winds. This makes it a MUST HAVE product for those who live in cold climates or those who enjoy outdoor Winter activities.

Even if you don’t live in a cold climate, this eye cream is probably the BEST eye moisturizer on the market and should be a product in everyone’s beauty arsenal.
